ProgramCivilians in the Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program provide worldwide services and activities to support soldiers (active and reserve), DA civilians, retirees and their families. The Army MWR Headquarters, the Family and MWR Command, has a rich history and philosophy. To meet the growing staffing needs of MWR Positions are non-military and carry no enlistment obligation.The Management Trainee Program is targeted to annually hire up to 20 recent college graduates who have bachelor’s degrees in certain MWR specialties. You will have the opportunity to develop a managerial career in:
Management Trainees will undergo 12 months of on-the-job training (OJT) at an Army installation under the supervision of a trainer-mentor, followed by another 12-months of on-the-job work experience in specialty program area, for a total of 24 months. Imagine yourself in the center of explosive concerts, leading kayaking adventure trips, opening a theme restaurant, or renovating a multi-million dollar hotel! After 12 months of OJT the MWR Referral Program provides assistance to place you at a location where a NF-03/04 managerial vacancy in your specialty exists.
