A worldwide
network of over
100 libraries supports Army Knowledge requirements.
Wherever you are stationed – Germany,
Kuwait,
Korea,
or hot spots around the world – the Army general library program will
be there.
General
libraries have
something for everyone – from story hours to book discussion groups,
from
Internet access to word processing, from audio books to paintings, from
the
latest novels to “how–to” books, from encyclopedia and other reference
books to
outstanding online reference resources.
Librarians
are available to
assist you in your search for information.
They will help you find quick answers, point you to best
sources for
in-depth research, and demonstrate the best sites on the web. They will guide you through the “My Library”
pages on AKO to show you how to do research from home, office or while
deployed.
Look for
colleges online that
meet your goals, take practice entrance tests online, locate research
to write
that college paper, hold study group sessions in the library. General libraries support your education
goals.
Escape
through fiction, keep
up with current affairs, explore your hobby, find a quiet nook to
dream,
encourage reading in your young child -
whether a singular experience or a family affair, it all adds up to a
life
enriching experience.
Deploying
units can inquire
about receiving paperback book kits from their home installation
library prior
to deploying. For continuation of
paperback book kits while deployed, contact the address below.
