The purpose of Army Leisure Travel Services is to provide military personnel, the families, and other eligible patrons with economical, convenient and desired services having to do with travel and travel-related services. These leisure travel services include point-to-point commercial tickets (air, rail and bus), cruises, vacation packages, lodging reservations, attraction tickets, and tickets to concerts, live theatre and motion picture theatres. Both commercial travel and ITR functions are expected to reflect an approach that balances the requirement to produce revenue with the overriding mission of delivering First Choice service to its Authorized Patrons. These page are to to provide Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) leisure travel/ticket and tour managers, with information that will help them evaluate services and patronage at their offices with state of the art programs offered at other Army and DOD locations. To meet the financial goals of the program, local leisure travel/ITR managers are encouraged to partner with private organizations, affinity groups, military units, and other MWR program managers to arrange group tours and joint-sponsored events that contribute to morale, esprit, and the financial goals of the installation Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Fund and the partnering organization. The Military Ticket Voucher/Military Travel Voucher (MTV) Program provides ITR and ITT offices with a resource for substantially discounted rates at hundreds of attractions and lodging venues throughout the United States. The program’s objective is to match eligible travelers with a choice of affordable, first class lodging accommodations to meet any budget, plus discounted admission to area theme parks, museums, theatres, and sightseeing tours. Staff. Generally, leisure travel services are available to any individual who can provide proof of DOD affiliation, i.e., identification card, leave & earnings statement, etc., including Active Duty, Reserve Component, Retired, “Gray Area Retirees,” Family Members, DOD Civilians, and DOD Contractors with DOD identification.
